Let’s talk loans.

We’ll keep it short ‘n sweet.

How Payday Loans work in Florida.

Want to know the ins and outs of payday loans? We explain them in a question and answer format everyone can understand.

The basics

What are Payday Loans?
Payday Loans from The Check Cashing Store® are short-term loans that give you a cash boost until your next payday. They are ideal when an emergency pops up and money is tight. The Payday Loans we offer in Florida meet all the requirements of the state of Florida.
How much can I get?
Our Online Payday Loans range from $100-$500. The slider on our homepage helps you figure out exactly what your Payday Loan will cost. You can also visit one of our locations to apply in store where the minimum loan amount is $50.
Who qualifies for Payday Loans?
To get started, you’ll need:
  • To be 18 years and older
  • To have a valid checking account
  • To have a steady income
  • To have an active phone number
  • To have a valid government-issued photo ID
Does The Check Cashing Store have locations in other states?
The Check Cashing Store operates only in Florida and we are here to serve Floridians exclusively. Check out our sister company Money Mart® at for the same great customer service and friendly environment in other states.
How long does it take to process my application?
First-time customers who come into the store can look forward to getting their money in as little as 15 minutes, if approved. Once we have your paperwork on file, we can process your next loan right away. Or you can get your Payday Loan online and get your money deposited directly into your checking account.

When and how do I repay my loan?
Look for your repayment due date on your loan document. You must repay your loan in full by that date. You can repay it in person at The Check Cashing Store location nearest you. If you have an online loan, your payment will be taken out of your checking account electronically on your repayment date.

Who we are

Who is The Check Cashing Store?

The Check Cashing Store opened in 1982. Since then, we’ve grown. A lot. We now have almost 100 Florida locations. In 2007, we were bought by Dollar Financial Group, Inc. adding The Check Cashing Store to a network of alternate retail financing outlets all over the world.

Alternate retail financing is just another way of saying we help customers out when they need us most and, at times, when traditional banks won’t. You may have seen our sister companies across the country. They serve working people in 13 different states: Money Mart® , American Check Casher®, American Payday Loans, Check Casher and Payday Loans.
